What is blog happening?

I finally found time to sit down and set up a blog- but not much, so forgive me if it's lame. Matt and I leave in a few days for the trail, which means I have only so many hours left to renew my passport, finish packing boxes (or stress about not packing them), try to find an alternative to entirely too expensive health insurance for the next 6 months, gather the rest of what I need, while simultaneously trying to find any of my personal belongings in the boxes and Trader Joe's bags still full of stuff from moving. So now I sit in my old bedroom at my parents house-jobless, homeless, and in limbo. Its an odd sensation that I am thankful to only have to experience for a matter of days, and even then my mind is so consumed with what is to come that I can't even put together all that is happening now.

The goal of this blog is not necessarily to relate all of my experiences, thoughts, and happenings while I'm on the trail, but simply a way to give those who are interested an idea of where I am and how its all going. That being said, I don't plan on updating it according to a schedule or based on predetermined time segments, but rather whenever I am in a place where I see fit. The idea of blogging everyday seems very silly to me, as does posting gear lists and weight in ounces of everything I am carrying. So don't expect it. I have clothes, food, water, a shelter, and some other stuff. It weighs a lot.

So please enjoy. Leave comments and stuff if you want. If I can figure it out, there is a link to my very rough tentative schedule of where I might be near-ish at certain times, along with addresses to send stuff if you want. Also, maybe a link to my GPS Spot locations. Look at them if you're interested. Don't if you're not.
